Sofia - the insider`s guide
Entertainment & Sport

For foreigners who are used to paying a small fortune to go to the cinema at home, the low ticket price is a delightful surprise. Moreover most of the foreign-language films are subtitled rather than dubbed, so you can enjoy the film in its original language. Note that childrens films however tend to be dubbed these days. (Cinema listings in English can be found every Friday in The Sofia Echo)

Why not try the new Spa & Fitness Centre at the Holiday Inn in Mladost or the Fitness Centre at the Greenville Hotel, 36 Atanas Dukov St., t.819 1717 where they offer daily sessions of aqua aerobics? The pool at the Kempinski Hotel is also popular with expats and at the Princess Hotel there is a separate shallow pool for children.
